How old do I need to be to take part?
You can take part at any age. However, you must be over 18 to set up a JustGiving fundraising page, unless under the direct supervision of an adult. Please drop up an email at community@mind.org.uk if you have any questions.
How will my fundraising make a difference?
Your fundraising will help us be there for anyone who needs it, when they need it, by providing support and access to the right information. To find out more about the services Mind provide, please click here.
My friends or family would prefer to give me a cash or cheque, how can they donate?
If someone wants to donate to your fundraiser but would prefer to donate offline, the best thing is to collect their donation offline and pay it into your personal account. You can then donate it directly to your fundraiser yourself.
Once I’ve finished fundraising, how do I send the money to you?
If you have fundraised through your JustGiving fundraising page there is nothing you need to do. All donations will automatically come directly to Mind. If you have offline fundraising to pay in we would suggest paying this in to your own account and then onto your JustGiving fundraising page yourself. However, if you would prefer to send us your offline fundraising a different way please email community@mind.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help with this.
Can I take part as a team?
Absolutely! Whether you want to inspire your family to create positive new habits, or encourage some friendly competition amongst your friends – taking on a challenge for Mind is even more fun when you’ve got teammates to keep you motivated. JustGiving team pages allow you and your friends to join your individual fundraising pages together to contribute to an overall total. They’re great if you want to raise money separately whilst still contributing to a larger team goal!
How do I keep a healthy relationship with exercise healthy while taking part in an active challenge for Mind?
Being active during your challenge can be a great way to support your mental health. But it’s important to remember we all have different preferences, tolerances and fitness levels. Try to make sure you are letting yourself recover by resting for your body and mind. You could add low intensity days (taking part in meditation, gentle walks or yoga) into your plans. The key here is to try to be mindful of what you’re doing, and strike a healthy balance.
